Registered Nurse (RN)
The Residence at Littledale is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our professional interdisciplinary care team at The Residence at Littledale. The Registered Nurse will support LPNs and PCAs to ensure excellent client care while upholding the vision, mission and values of the Residence. This will be a casual position to provide additional support to the nursing management team and assist with coverage for the nursing units.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with client care as directed by the developed Care Plans.
- Works with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
- Assists with development, implementation and evaluation of clients care plans.
- Administers and records prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintains the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Applies dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy.
- Assists with the supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
- Assist with staffing coordination.
- Assist with the education and training of our staff and residents
- Demonstrates strong leadership and assessment skills and the ability to multitask.
- Supervises staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.
- Demonstrates supervisory skills and experience with evaluating employee job performance.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of approved School of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL)
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience with electronic information systems
- Palliative/ Hospice Care experience.
- Client experience in a senior’s independent living and/or long-term care environment.
- Memory care experience or training considered an asset.
Requirements:
- Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays and On-Call requirements.
- Valid Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Applicable Medical Immunizations.
